GREENVILLE, NC, January 12, 2009 – Yale Materials Handling Corporation, a long-standing leader in the materials handling industry, is taking a leadership role in environmental sustainability in 2009. In addition to its next generation of electric rider trucks with the new ERC-VG being introduced at ProMat 2009, Yale continues to improve efficiency and reduce waste within its own operations with zero emission electric powered lift trucks, green innovations and green initiatives.

Yale® has been a leading producer of zero emission trucks for several years and is among the first to use working fuel cells in actual applications. Currently, Yale® is investigating advanced, more efficient battery chemistries and technologies to reduce energy consumption, increase productivity and reduce toxic material content.
